Cretaquarium

Cretaquarium (Crete Aquarium) located on the grounds of former American base in Gournes, Crete is a 5000 square meter structure that houses an impressive aquarium with 32 tanks and 50 viewing points. It is a home to almost 2500 organisms of 200 Mediterranean marine species, from the big hunter sharks, to tiny seahorses, to sensational jellyfishes, to lobsters, to different schools of fishes. The aquarium is equipped with modern audio-visual systems and interactive applications. Touch screens and remote controlled cameras are available to visitors for ease and comfort during the visit.
