Built between 1836-1842, this plain and neoclassical building originally served as the house of the king. And in 1924, the building became the house of parliament. In front of the building is the Tomb of Unknown Soldier guarded day and night by elite guards. (the tomb of unknown soldier symbolically represents the war grave of those soldiers in ancient times who have died without their remains being identified). A visit to Athens is incomplete without visiting this place and posing with these elite guards. (Athens, Greece / 2006)
