Also called the "place of sacrifice", it is the place where all the town's (Kalavrita) male populations aged 14 and above were executed by the German troops on 13 December 1943. The names of all who vanished that day were engraved on the pillars. On the hill, a huge cross sits to commemorate this tragic crime. Within the catacomb, a number of candle holder is seen which is equal to the number of families who suffered the lost from this horrific event. Beside the catacomb is a sculpture, describing a mother in pain. (Kalavrita, Greece / 2009)
